My uncle bought me an Android Tablet as a gift (he's currently visiting from Canada), and I live in Barbados. However, it's not letting me buy applications, because the "app store is not yet available in your region". First off, it made me download the Amazon Android App Store instead of coming preloaded with one, which i found very strange. Now it doesn't let me buy anything, even if it's free. I've provided a US address and my credit card number, and it still won't let me. To be honest, I don't want to seem ungrateful, but the tablet is very limited without the applications.
Should I give it back to my uncle? I don't want him to think that i don't like the present, but I think it would be best if he could try and get a refund. Please give me advice.
Thank you!

I would first contact the device maker to see if there is a remedy for this. If not, then I would opt for having it exchanged for something that could be used where you are, as well as anywhere else. So yes see if your uncle can take it back or ship it back to get something else locally.
